Bon Jovi heads down the same old path…....

One of the hardest things in the world to do is sustain a music career. Some acts have waves of popularity that comes and goes. Some hit it big for a few years and then linger around on a smaller scale. A few more revisit their most popular albums in a live setting.

The second most popular rock band from New Jersey – Bon Jovi – is a combination of all three. They haven’t had a bonafide chart-topping hit since “Who Says You Can’t Go Home?” They continue to release albums to some degree of minor success. Yet still sell tickets to arenas and stadiums each tour. Those soccer moms have quite a bit of disposable income!

So what’s next for Bon Jovi? A reunion with departed guitarist Richie Sambora? Another collection of live tracks? Yet another greatest hits album with one or two new songs? Who knows?

At this point – one can only speculate. Maybe good ol’ Jon will appear in another movie. Time will tell.

But for now, they seem content with the pattern of releasing a studio album, live compilation and greatest hits packages. With shows in-between.

In other words – all safe bets. Nothing earth shattering.
