Welcome to Summer Solstice 2017.........
Check your calendars! If it’s June 21st, 2017 (and as of this writing – it is), then it’s Summer Solstice 2017.
In case you didn’t know, Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year. For most places in America, that means almost 5 more hours of sunlight than Winter Solstice, also known as the shortest day of the year.
Areas in the most northern parts of North America will experience the most hours of daylight. In fact, the North Pole will have sunlight all 24 hours. So if you are a polar bear – better get out the sunblock!
