Renewable Fuels, Hawaii, Mars and a Dome?
I know that all seems like a strange combination, but perhaps not as strange as you think. 6 people will begin an 8 month life in a dome in Hawaii to simulate a Mars mission. The commander is Martha Lenio, is a entrepreneur and director of the renewable-energy consulting company RALOS Solutions, Inc. We hope we'll be able to follow their "mission" and cheer them on!-
It's a Mars rehearsal: Team studies isolation effects under dome in Hawaii
Volunteers in NASA-funded project will subject themselves to the stress and isolation of a simulated mission to Mars. Three women and three men will live, work in close proximity on a Hawaiian volcano.
