It's a slam dunk that LITERALLY ended an NBA career.

Leading up to the 2000 Olympics, Frédéric Weis was considered an extremely exciting NBA prospect. He was drafted by the New York Knicks with the 15th pick of the 1999 NBA Draft. However at the Games, whilst playing against Team USA, something occurred that, in the opinions of many, Weis never truly recovered from. He was on the receiving end of one of the most brutal dunks in basketball history, at the hands of Vince Carter. The dunk was so violent that the French media dubbed it "le dunk de la mort" - the dunk of death. For the record, Weis would never play an NBA game.Credit: This incredible story was sourced here.
