SyndicIT Services Corporation (SyndicIT) today announced that it has launched its ScreenIT credit screening service offering powered by TransUnion’s SmartMove. The service is available for immediate use at https://syndicit.mysmartmove.com/. The service is designed for use by consumers and leasing agents in the multi-housing industry for scoring potential residents for credit worthiness prior to lease approvals.

The service allows landlords a way to check prospective renter’s against extensive credit and criminal databases and provides instant leasing recommendations based on specific landlord risk criteria. It also offers data privacy for potential tenants because Social Security and credit account numbers are not displayed to the landlord.

“Landlords are coming under increasing pressure to avoid having to manage and protect a consumer’s personal information. Clearly, consumers are also becoming increasingly concerned about illegal access to their identity information stored at a local property, and usually in easily accessible paper files.
