What are features of your home that you've really enjoyed?

Long summer days catching crab from the dock and paddling the creek with my friends, warm afternoons with cool drinks on the porch, big family dinners and quiet retreats, figs in the summer, pecans in the fall, and the snap-crackle-pop of the marsh! These things have all made this place home.

What can you tell us about your neighborhood?

Being on the water, we are good backyard neighbors. There's a strong sense of community. I love taking walks under the oaks and pines. Lots of interesting things to explore as well, and Secessionville is built on a historical site.

What do you love about your town?

The house is on James Island, but Folly is my town. Just three miles down, the avant-garde beach town is my place to relax, enjoy the beach and all the great people. Lots of restaurants and live music too!

Where do you love to eat?

I love great food and tend to eat out. My favorite place on Folly is Lost Dog Cafe- breakfast and lunch only, but vegetarian friendly, and your dog is welcome too! For late night food and live music, I love the Crab Shack - variety of good seafood! Downtown, I love FIG for exquisite farm to table dining, 82 Queen for a big night out, and Hank's for superb seafood!

Grocery stores and other conveniences?

It's easy to pick up groceries with a Harris Teeter just around the corner open 'til midnight. And if I need something really late night, I head over to Bert's Market on Folly - open 24 hours. But my favorite place is Crosby's Seafood, just over the bridge, where I routinely pick up fresh shrimp and seafood just off the boat!

What do you love about the area?

I'm a Charleston native, and I grow to love our community more and more. The beaches, the architecture, and the thriving culture of arts make it home to me. More importantly, I love the generous people here and how we take care of each other through everything. We are all neighbors at heart, and Charleston will always have mine.
