Heather Kennedy Arrested For Having Sex with Student

Heather Kennedy, a math teacher in Long Island, New York, was arrested Wednesday on charges of having sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Kennedy, 25, is charged with rape in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child. Police said Thursday morning that the boy was a student at Wantagh High School, but did not say whether the boy had ever been in Kennedy's class.

The intercourse took place on Thursday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. in Massapequa.

Kennedy is to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead. Kennedy's behavior continues a current trend of teachers having sex with students.
