Man Shot at Home of NBA Star DeShawn Stevenson Identified
The home of Washington Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson was the scene of a late night shooting on Sunday.
Early reports of the shooting indicated that a former NBA player had suffered gunshot injuries but the victim was later identified as Curtis Ruff, a friend of Stevenson and not a former NBA player.
According to reports Stevenson, along with some friends, returned to his Florida home in a gated community in Orlando after spending the evening at a nightclub. Accompanying Stevenson and his friends were several women that they met at the club.
The shooting occurred after a man driving a white Cadillac Escalade followed the group back to Stevenson’s house and began arguing with some of the women. The man then began shooting and struck Ruff in the leg. He was taken to a local hospital and treated.
