Lauren Jones Bombs in Fox Reality Show “Anchorwoman”
It didn’t take long for Fox to realize that while people have to live in reality they don’t always have to like it, just ask Lauren Jones.
The former Miss New York and WWE Diva landed the lead role in Fox’s reality show “Anchorwoman” and after one episode network heads dumped the disaster due to a 1.0 rating according to Nielsen Media Research.
Fox took a lot of heat from members of the media and especially broadcast journalists and news anchors for just placing a pretty face on the television and thinking they could deliver the news.
Jones found herself in front of the camera at KYTX Channel 19 in Tyler, Texas but just as quickly found herself out on the street as the program drew just 2.7 million viewers. The show was to air another five episodes but those will only be available through the Fox website now.
