Bon Jovi is hosting a free concert in New York City's Central Park this summer, according to reports by NYC officials on Monday.
The concert will take place on Saturday, July 12 on the Green Lawn at Central Park.
The concert is part of a week of events leading up to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 15, which will cap off the final season in Yankee Stadium. It is also part of New York's annual Midsummer Classic, a series of free concerts in Central Park, and will be sponsored by the New York Yankees and Bank of America.
Tickets will be distributed at baseball parks and events throughout the five boroughs starting on Wednesday.
Most of the tickets will be available at Yankee Stadium, but some will also be given out at Shea, Keyspan Park in Brooklyn, and Richmond County Bank Ballpark on Staten Island.
Bon Jovi wraps its North American tour for its album Lost Highway with a July 14-15 stand at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The tour is highest-selling tour in the world thus far this year.
