Nate Dogg In Critical Condition After Suffering Second Stroke in Nine Months

Nate Dogg, the famed hip-hop soul singer, is in serious condition Tuesday after suffering his second stroke in less than a year.

Nate Dogg, whose real name is Nathaniel Hale, cannot breathe on his own and is being monitored closely, according to reports. His health was already in jeopardy as he was already partially paralyzed on the left side of his body following the first stroke, which occurred in December 2007.

Nate Dogg's longtime manager Rod McGrew was assured that the crooner would make it out alright during an interview with SOHH.com.

"He is back in the hospital," McGrew confirmed. "He did suffer from a second stroke. He is in stable condition. The prognosis at this time is favorable. We're positive, prayerful, hopeful and patient."

After being treated at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center in California, the former Death Row artist was moved to a medical-rehab facility to complete his recovery.

Nate Dogg, 39, is best known for his smooth voice and being one of the original members of Death Row Records, which included his cousin Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Tupac Shakur.
