Former Verizon Sales & Technology Executive, Mike Smith, Joins Alsbridge

Former Verizon Sales & Technology Executive, Mike Smith, has joined its team of talented network services consultants as managing director, announced Alsbridge, the global leader in data-driven benchmarking, outsourcing and network transformation services.

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry including strategic networking, cloud computing, IT and security services, mobility solutions, machine to machine, software as a service, advanced contact center and unified communications solutions, as well as managed and professional services. He is widely recognized for successfully building and leading world-class sales organizations, developing creative business strategies, motivating high performing teams, and revitalizing stagnant markets. Mike’s specialties include business strategy and planning, P&L management, complex deal negotiation, business transformation, business process outsourcing, and technology integration.

Prior to joining Alsbridge, Mike organized and led a nationwide Strategic Services team for Verizon with responsibility to deliver high-value solutions and grow sales and revenue associated with three of the company’s leading edge product portfolios including Unified Communications, Contact Center, and Managed Network Services.  Previously, he served as MCI Vice President and General Manager of Business Markets where he led a team of 180 sales and service professionals across the company’s Commercial Accounts – Midwest region in serving an account base of more than 5,100 customers and prospects representing $450M in annual revenue. 

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Denison University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.  He was an active member of the advisory board of the J. Warren McClure School of Communications Systems Management at Ohio University for a number of years.
