TinBu, a leading provider of revenue generating online content, is pleased to announce they have hired Fernando Ascencio to serve as Vice President of Latin American Operations. Ascencio will be in charge of marketing TinBu's patent-pending technology and content channels to Spanish language online and wireless publishers in the U.S., as well as throughout Latin America.
Fernando Ascencio is an experienced internet executive in the Latin American sector. Ascencio worked with the Spanish language broadcasting company Univision for 8-years prior to participating in the initial launch of Quepasa.com in 1999. During his tenure with Quepasa.com he served in a variety of senior executive roles, including as CEO of the Company. During Ascencio's tenure with Quepasa the company grew into one of the largest Latin American social networks in the world, with over 2.5 million registered users from the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America. As CEO of Quepasa Ascencio oversaw over 50 employees, with offices in Mexico and the U.S. Ascencio also worked previously for the ABC Television Group based out of New York City.

As Vice President of Latin American Operations Ascencio will manage the overall performance of the company's growth across Latin America and the U.S. within the Spanish speaking segment. Ascencio will initially work from TinBu's U.S. location, with a planned opening of a Latin American office in Panama City, Panama, or Buenos Aries, Argentina, in 2010.
