Chris Polk, Owner of AgForest of Georgia, acquires 112 acres in Oglethorpe County for a Clear Cut

In 2002, Georgia Registered Master Timber Harvester, Chris Polk started AgForest of Georgia, LLC. Over the years the company has gained notoriety among other timber harvesting companies and landowners for the work they have accomplished. Recently, Chris Polk and AgForest acquired the timber rights to 112 acres in Oglethorpe County. On this land AgForest will be performing a Clear Cut. Clear cuts are done when a land owner has no need for the timber that is present on the property. In some instances clear cuts can be done to create an area for farming purposes or even prepare a site for a future home construction.
The purpose of this clear cut is to reforest the property for the landowner per his request. “Reforestation is something we value and take pride in doing for landowners.
