Here I am. Real life. No filter. Adult diaper. 2 days post C-section. Swollen. Hurting. Sleep deprived.
Look, we all go through stages of life that call for different and more important things than how our bodies look.

My life right now isn’t all in nutrition and exercise like it once was.
Will I get back to killing it in the gym and nailing my macros?
Absolutely.
Is that my focus right now?
No.
Fitness and nutrition is a PART of my life. It’s not my entire life.
When taking care of your body, you don’t have to love what you see. This version of my body is brand new to me.
I’ve never carried a child before. This is my first postpartum journey.
It’s okay that I am not in love with the way I look.
I am NOT defined by how I look.
It’s okay that I gained weight. More weight than I wanted.
I used to fail to realize that I’m not going to be my leanest 365 days a year.
We go through events and seasons in life that require different versions of ourselves.
This version of me is exactly where I need to be right now.
No guilt, no beating myself up, no tearing myself down with negative self talk.
My body created a life.
How could we ever tear ourselves down when our bodies do so much for us?
It’s okay to not love your body for how it looks. That’s not the goal.
But I will always love my body for what it does for me daily.
And I can’t wait for this new journey and new experience.
The time will come soon when I am back at it, but for now, I love where I am ♥️
Whatever journey you are on right now, you are not alone. 𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. 💕
