Big Brother 19 SPOILERS: Week 10 POV Competition 

Splitting up Jason and Alex was Paul's agenda for the week, and HOH Christmas played right along with his plan by putting Jason and Alex on the block under the guise of backdooring Kevin. The secret plan is to send Jason to the jury house because he is strong in competitions. Paul is now one step closer to executing his plan - he won the Power of Veto on Saturday, which ensures Jason is not coming off the block. It also puts him in the perfect position to make Alex and Jason believe his loyalty to them never wavered. By using the veto on Alex and forcing the eviction vote to a tie, Paul will look like he was doing everything in his power to keep both Jason and Alex in the game when actually the exact opposite is true.
