Cory Hrushka of Insight Psychological to be Featured on Close-Up Talk Radio

Edmonton, AB – The rise in specialization among health care professionals extends to the field of mental health as well, with therapists pursuing concentrations in specific mental health issues. As a result, it’s critical to find a therapist that truly understands the complexities of whatever issue a person might be struggling with.

Insight Psychological is a psychological counseling and assessment firm for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. With 27 therapists across five locations, Insight Psychological employs a multi-specialty team approach to psychology.

“Whatever you need, we have a therapist who specializes in that,” says Cory Hrushka, executive director of Insight Psychological.

Since Hrushka assumed sole ownership of Insight Psychological in 2007, the practice has grown considerably. Last year, the company grew 60 percent, expanding throughout Alberta with locations in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Spruce Grove.

“We’ve grown way beyond what I imagined,” says Hrushka. “I thought we might open another office one day but now we have five. I don’t know of anyone else in the city of Edmonton that can match what we’ve done.”

At Insight Psychological, each therapist has a unique specialty, allowing the staff to assign the right therapist to the right client. Specialties include but are not limited to trauma, grief, educational psychology including learning disorders, marriage and family counseling, eating disorders, hypnotherapy, Borderline Personality Disorder and even neuropsychology.

“It’s a friendly, connected, family-like atmosphere here,” says Hrushka. “We have a caring and supportive team of strong, ethical psychologists who are also willing to learn from each other. Clients can only benefit from that.”

“I get knocks on my door almost every day from people who want to work for Insight Psychological Inc.,” says Hrushka. “But more importantly, we’re seeing good client retention rates, which also means our clients are finding our services valuable.”
