Close-Up TV News recognizes WAXIE Sanitary Supply as an industry leader in the distribution of quality sanitary supplies and equipment to the commercial, industrial, contractor and institutional markets.

WAXIE is a sanitary supply distributor that encompasses the full spectrum of cleaning supplies. A family-owned business established in 1945, WAXIE has since grown to 16 locations in eight states throughout the western United States.

WAXIE’s customers are typically building service contractors in the education sector (public and private, elementary schools through universities), as well as healthcare, hospitality, government, industrial, manufacturing and retail facilities. WAXIE provides more than 4,500 items, including leading national brands, and hundreds of WAXIE brand products, including chemicals, consumables, equipment and accessories.

“We take into account all the things that may be a concern for an employer such as waste, cost, safety and delivering a system that’s safe and effective,” says WAXIE’s Rick Hazard.

WAXIE has relationships with vendors that go back 50-60 years, strategically aligning themselves with companies they consider to be the best manufacturers. These are companies who have innovation in their product, who have quality in their product.

WAXIE isn’t about buying the cheapest item and re-selling it to a customer. They want to bring the best solution to the customer, constantly learning about new products, new innovations. WAXIE’s product managers work with vendors and manufacturers to evaluate whether those new product is going to work for them.

“Our cornerstone has been the customer and if there’s one thing we haven’t changed it’s been our commitment to our customer, the end user,” says Hazard. “We always have our ears open as to what are the solutions they are looking for.”
