Cavitation and Star Wars? May the 4th be with you!
Today is Star Wars Day! "May the 4th" is a play on "May the force", but I bet you didn't know there is a cavitation reference in the Star Wars universe. That's right, in Wookieepedia you can read about "cavitation hyperdrive"! Cavitation is a powerful force and evidently powerful enough to more star ships. Happy Monday and May the 4th be with you!-
Cavitation hyperdrive
The cavitation hyperdrive was a type of hyperdrive. The Mon Calamari mathematician Q-Viza was credited with its invention and it was used by the Calamari to allow them to establish colonies on Ruisto, Mantan and Hinakuu between 4400 BBY and 4200 BBY. However, it was exponentially slower than the standard Corellian hyperdrive, which limited the territorial expansion of the Mon Calamari.
