David Arquette Announces Split From Christina McLarty
David Arquette is once again a single man. The actor and Dancing with the Stars alum announced late Tuesday he has split from girlfriend Christina McLarty.
“Sadly I’m single again. A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult,” Arquette, who is currently separated from wife Courtney Cox, tweeted.
The Scream star began dating McLarty, who works with Entertainment Tonight as a reporter, in September 2011. McLarty has not commented.
A source says both Arquette and McLarty are “OK” with the breakup. “It’s mutual. They knew it was going to be a problem when Christina got transferred to NYC right after they started dating. They tried the bicoastal thing but it was too hard. It was hard to break up but it just couldn't work like this,” the insider tells Us Weekly magazine.
McLarty previously dated Girls Gone Wild found Joe Francis. Arquette separated from Cox in October 2010 after 11 years of marriage. They have not filed for divorce.
