Melancholia: starring Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourge, Alexander Skarsgard, Kiefer Sutherland and Brady Corbet. The sci-fi action film tells the story of two sisters whose challenging relationship is strained further when they learn a new planet may collide into the Earth. Rated R
My Week With Marilyn: starring Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench and Dominic Cooper. The drama focuses on the week Marilyn Monroe spent touring the British countryside with 23-year-old Colin Clark, an assistant on the set of her film “The Prince and the Showgirl.” Rated R
The Adventures of Tintin: starring Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Jamie Bell, Cary Elwes and Andy Serkis. The family film follows a young reporter named Tintin as a model of an old ship leads him on an adventure involving a hidden treasure and bad guys. Rated PG
The Descendants: starring George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, Amara Miller, Judy Greer and Beau Bridges. The comedy/drama centers on a Hawaii native whose life is turned upside down after a boating accident leaves his wife in a coma. While trying to reconnect with his daughters and deal with the death of his wife, Matt also struggles with a big decision concerning his family’s land trust. Rated R
Young Adult: starring Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson, Elizabeth Reaser and Collette Wolfe. The comedy follows a writer as she returns to her hometown with intentions to rekindle her romance with her happily married high school boyfriend. Instead of the reunion she expected, Mavis ends up bonding with a former classmate. Rated R
