The final dance duel on this season of Dancing with the Stars was held on last night’s results show. The duel required the two couples with the least amount of fan votes to dance a rumba side-by-side while judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli decided who should stay and who should be eliminated.
For the second week in a row, Roshon Fegan and partner Chelsie Hightower found themselves in the bottom two. Fegan and Hightower won last week’s duel over Gladys Knight. The couple was joined by another pair familiar with the dance duel - Jaleel White and partner Kym Johnson. White and Johnson survived elimination two weeks ago by winning a dance duel against Gavin DeGraw.
Judges ended up saving Fegan and Hightower again. "This is not easy. Side by side you guys are pretty much equal," Inaba told Fegan and White.
In his departing comments, White said he was glad Fegan was saved. "I really only thought I'd last about three dances this competition, so to get this far – I've made incredible friends, the fans have been incredible. I love Roshon Fegan ... I'm glad they saved him,” he said. "He has a bright future!"
Katherine Jenkins, Donald Driver, Maria Menounos, Melissa Gilbert and William Levy will return next week to compete alongside Fegan.
