Pictures: Prince William And Kate Middleton Leave Kensington Palace With Son
The royal baby is on the move just two days after his birth. Following an overnight stay at Kensington Palace, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the newborn departed Kensington on Wednesday for the Bucklebury home of Middleton’s parents. A security officer drove the family in a black Range Rover. William rode in the front passengers seat while Kate, who wore a blue printed dress and sunglasses, took the back seat with their newborn prince. It is unclear how long the new family plans to stay in Bucklebury.
A palace spokesperson told Us Weekly the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking some “private and quiet time for them to get to know their son.”
While at Kensington, the baby was visited by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry. It is believed William and Kate may have discussed their son’s name with the queen.
The baby made his debut Tuesday afternoon outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Sporting a blue dress with white polka dots, Kate held the future king as she smiled for waiting photographers. William, wearing a matching blue ensemble, remained by her side and held the baby at one point.
Kate described her son’s birth as “very emotional.” “It's been very emotional. Any parent will know what this feeling is like,” she said.
William admitted a name had not been chosen for. “He's a big boy, quite heavy. We're still working on a name,” he said.
