Survivor Redemption Island Recap: The End Of Zapatera
Last night’s episode of Survivor began with Ometepe’s latest victim, Julie, arriving on Redemption Island. Both Julie and Mike seemed positive about having another shot at the game while Matt struggled to hold on to hope. Matt admits he is ready to be out of the game.
Over at Murlonio’s camp, Phillip is on a mission to find his shorts, and against all odds he succeeds. Phillip was excited to wear them to the redemption duel so he could rub it in Julie’s face. For the duel, Matt, Mike and Julie each get a shuffle board and three pucks. They must get their pucks around obstacles and in to a painted section on their board. Mike and Matt win the duel. Julie becomes the second member of the jury.
For the immunity and reward challenge, the survivors face off against one another on a spinning log suspended over water. The first person to fall is eliminated. It comes down to Grant and Ralph. Grant wins immunity and the reward, which is a big chocolate cake. He picks Rob and Andrea to share the cake with him.
Back at camp, Steve and Ralph make a last ditch effort to sway the girls’ votes to Rob. They tell Ashley and Natalie they are voting for Rob, so this is the girls’ chance to make a big move and get Rob out of the game. Ashley immediately runs to Rob with the information.
At tribal council, the Ometepe alliance sends Ralph to Redemption Island. Jeff Probst then reveals a surprise immunity challenge and second elimination. The challenge is a memory game in which Jeff holds up a series of symbols and the castaways must repeat them back. Rob wins immunity an Steve is sent packing.
