American Idol Results Recap: Scotty Lands In the Bottom 3 For First Time
At the beginning of Thursday night’s American Idol results show, Ryan Seacrest warned that many fans would be “disappointed” with the elimination results, and he was right. Casey Abrams was voted out for the second time.
Abrams was first eliminated in Motown week, but Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler used their only “judge’s save” to keep him in the competition. On Wednesday night, Casey sang “Hi-Di-Ho (That Old Sweet Roll)” and the performance was praised by all three judges.
“I’m excited every time you are up there. I know I’m going to get something different and entertaining,” said Randy.
Casey was joined in the bottom three by Jacob Lusk and Scotty McCreery. It was Scotty’s first time being in the bottom three.
“This is what talent looks like,” Ryan said of Casey after the results were revealed.
Casey took the Idol stage one last time and performed “I Put a Spell on You.”
