Ralph Macchio: Dancing with the Stars Judges Were “Rude”
Ralph Macchio is placing part of the blame for his elimination from Dancing with the Stars on the judges. The Karate Kid star believes the judges’ “rude” and “inappropriate” comments about his performance on Monday night put him in a tough place.
"We were in a hard place for even our fan base to pull us out of," Macchio explained to People magazine after his elimination on Tuesday’s results show.
Macchio, 49, feels the judges were “making fun” of him and partner Karina Smirnoff instead of showing them respect.
"That was unfortunate because I thought some of the judges' comments were rude and inappropriate and not constructive for how I could better myself. We felt circled as the one couple who didn't get praised and held up like the others did,” he said.
“It just felt like the playing field wasn't level for some reason last night," Macchio added. "That was disappointing. But I was ready for this [elimination]."
Kirstie Alley, Chelsea Kane and Hines Ward will compete for the mirror ball trophy on next week’s season finale.
