No Change in Jeff Conaway Condition
Jeff Conaway’s longtime manager Phil Brock says there has been no change in the actor’s condition since he fell into a coma last week. Brock and others close to Conaway fear the Grease star may have overdosed on drugs.
"Over the weekend, there was head movement, but there have not been any changes in his movement or condition since then. We are concerned it may have been an overdose but we have no way of knowing for sure,” Brock told People magazine.
"We strongly hope for his recovery," Brock added. "We hope he can finally exorcise the demons that have plagued him. He is an amazingly kind soul and there are many people who care about him."
Conaway’s battle with addiction to cocaine, prescription pain meds and alcohol was chronicled on the first two seasons of Celebrity Rehab. Dr. Drew Pinksy, the host of Celebrity Rehab, released a statement shortly after news of Conaway’s current condition broke. "I am deeply saddened to learn of Jeff's condition. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeff and his family,” he said.
Conaway, 60, can be seen next alongside Booboo Stewart, Heather Tocquigny, Martin Kova and Danny Trejo in the thriller Dark Games. He most recently narrated part of the 2010 animated short film Dante’s Inferno.
