I Am Number Four: starring Alex Pettyfer, Dianna Agron, Teresa Palmer, Timothy Olyphant and Callan McAuliffe. The sci-fi thriller stars Alex Pettyfer as John Smith, or ‘Number 4.’ John is an alien from the planet Lorien. He is a part of the Garde, which is a group of Loriens who possess special powers and live on Earth. Three members of the Garde have been killed by another race of aliens and John is next on the list. He and his guardian go on the run. Rated PG 13
Gnomeo and Juliet: starring Emily Blunt, Jamce McAvoy, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith and Jason Statham. The animated adventure film puts a comic spin on William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The film tells the story of two garden gnomes as they get caught up in a feud between neighbors. Gnomeo and Juliet features songs by Elton John. Rated G
The Big Bang: starring Antonio Banderas, Thomas Kretschmann, William Fichtner, Sienna Guillory, Snoop Dogg, James Van Der Beek, Autumn Reeser and Delroy Lindo. The crime drama follows private investigator Ned Cruz as he sets out to find the missing girlfriend of a paroles Russian boxer who is hiding a stash of diamonds. Cruz soon learns the case goes deeper than just a missing girl and diamonds. Rated R
Burning Palms: starring Dylan McDermott, Shannen Doherty, Zoe Saldana, Paz Vega, Jamie Chung, Rosamund Pike, Nick Stahl and Lake Bell. The comedy film follows five characters living in five popular areas of Los Angeles. Each character confronts a dark fate. Their stories intertwine. Rated R
