Tennis Star Anna Kournikova Replaces Jillian Michaels on Biggest Loser
The Biggest Loser has a new trainer. On Tuesday’s finale it was revealed that tennis star Anna Kournikova will replace departing trainer Jillian Michaels. Michaels is leaving the show to concentrate on adopting a child and taking her new position as co-host on the medical talk show The Doctors.
"It's been such an honor working side by side with you guys and I'm eternally grateful," Michaels said. "Now, I'm just excited for new chapters, to take the platform I've been given to the next level."
Kournikova, who previously appeared on The Biggest Loser to help contestants compete in a tennis themed challenge, says she is looking forward to training contestants next season and bringing her own fitness techniques to the show. "Mind is a powerful thing. You can make things happen if you want them bad enough. I know all about discipline, strength and conditioning, commitment. This is my chance to give back -- the opportunity of a lifetime -- and a way to teach the contestants everything I know,” she said.
