Teen Mom Star Gary Shirley Arrested
Another Teen Mom star has been put behind bars. Gary Shirley, who stars on the MTV series with ex-fiancé Amber Portwood and their 2-year-old daughter Leah, was arrested Tuesday in Alexandria, Indiana for driving with a suspended license.
According to the police report, an officer discovered Shirley’s suspended license after he observed Shirley and Portwood arguing in their car.
“I observed a Silver Dodge stopped on the south side of Berry street. I could hear a female arguing with a male inside the vehicle…” the report says. “I asked the male sitting in the driver seat if everything was ok and he advised yes. The female advised that everything was fine. I advised them that I had heard them arguing and wanted to make sure. I asked the both for identification…The male introduced himself and the female as Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood from ‘Teen Mom’.”
Shirley was arrested at 1:34 a.m. The report says the officer had to use two sets of handcuffs due to the reality star’s size. Shirley, who weighs around 300 lbs., was booked at the Madison County Jail. He was released on $3,000 bond.
