Nick Lachey “Looking Forward” to Fatherhood
Nick Lachey is already “looking forward” to having children with fiancé Vanessa Minnillo. In a new interview with Parade magazine, the former 98 Degrees singer admits he and Minnillo will likely start a family soon after tying the knot.
"I'd like to be a dad sooner than later. I'm getting up there,” he says.
"I'm at a point in my life where I'm ready to start another chapter. Having kids is a big part of that. I'm excited for what comes next," says Lachey. "Life is a journey, and I'm certainly ready to close this chapter and move on to the next."
Lachey’s time volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters has given him an idea of what fatherhood will be like. "I'm assuming fatherhood is going to be a hundred times more intense than being a Big Brother, but watching a life develop in front of you is a bit of a parallel," he added. "I'm certainly looking forward to it."
