Jennifer Lopez May Not Return to American Idol
Although Jennifer Lopez enjoyed her time on American Idol, the singer admits she may not return to judge season 11. In an interview on BBC Radio 1, the 41-year-old mother of two said she is still deciding if she wants to renew her contract.
"I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of really what I want to do for the next year. We're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!' I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing,” Lopez said.
One thing Lopez is sure about is returning to acting. Lopez says she was inspired to look in to roles by her husband Marc Anthony, who is currently working with Jada Pinkett Smith on the upcoming TV series Hawthorne. "I miss acting. I haven't done a movie in a [while], and you realize, 'Wow, two years have gone by and I haven't done a movie!'" she explained. "Marc is working on [TV's Hawthorne] with Jada Pinkett Smith and just going to set and smelling the acting going on…I miss it. I definitely want to get back to it very soon."
