Golfer Sets New Guinness World Record - 50 Tournaments in 50 Days

Golf Across America is planning a golf tour of 50 tournaments across 50 states in just 50 days. The tour is the brainchild of keen amateur golfer and digital entrepreneur Christoph Wehrli who aims to set a new Guinness World record with the tour.

Wehrli is a successful digital entrepreneur responsible for two start-ups in as many years. He is also a keen golfer with an -18 handicap who sees the sport as a great platform to set a new Guinness world record and improve his handicap all at the same time.
Wehrli plans to play 50 individual golf tournaments played in 50 states including Alaska, Hawaii, Washington and California in just 50 days, including travel time.
The ambitious businessman is said to be optimistic about the chances of succeeding due to his creative flair, optimal organizational skills and keen sportsmanship.
Wehrli is described as a charitable person and is determined to give back as he plays. The Golf Across America tour will be supporting local charities.
The Golf Across America Tour is being funded by a Crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform and the supporter’s perks include the chance to join Wehrli on the statewide trip for the full 50 days.
Entrepreneur and golfer Wehrli said about the tour, “I see that is hard work to achieve this huge goal but I’ve never been afraid of hard work. Fifty tournaments in 50 states is not easy, even when you are alone and have to find 50 golf courses, never mind when you have to organize 50 tournaments. But it will be worth it and I can’t wait to get started.”
