@Gurufish is hard at work performing shows as much as possible to help promote their most recent album, titled #MohairSupreme . The next show on the docket for Gurufish is on New Year’s Eve at @PaintedPin in Atlanta, GA at 10:00 pm.

Gurufish has been together for years and the members include the founder and singer Jimmy St. James, Matty Haze on guitar, DeWitt Ellis on bass, and Steve Dixon on drums. The four members have an impressive resume that includes sharing the bill with The Brand New Heavies, Nikka Costa, P.M. Dawn, The Spin Doctors, Derek Trucks, The Flaming Lips, Galactic, Cypress Hill, Ghostland Observatory, The White Stripes, LMFAO, The Isley Brothers, Dag, Foreigner, and the P-Funk Allstars. Back in February of 2010, Ear Magazine labeled the sexy, funky jazz band as “the best band you’ve never heard of. If you fall into the category of one of those people who haven’t heard of them then I suggest giving your ears the pleasure of hearing the soulful act.
