The Microbiologist/ Mycologist /Aerobiologist responsibilities include:
· Assist with day-to-day laboratory operations.
· Perform Lab assays in Microbiology, Immunochemistry & Microscopy:
· Preparation of bioaerosol and microbial samples for fungal analysis
· Culture of fungi from environmental samples using sterile techniques
· Bio-aerosol and microbial analysis of samples for fungi and bacteria
· Preparation of sample media
· Maintenance of laboratory supplies, equipment and laboratory reagents
· Data entry
Degree in a life sciences area is required, with a degree in microbiology preferred. One or two years experience preferred. Competent in the identification of aerbiota. Computer knowledge required. Each employee is required to be knowledgeable, thorough, independent, and efficient in his/her duties while working in a team based environment.
The Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDL) at Pure Air Control Services (PACS) offers complete and comprehensive indoor environmental laboratory services. They include: microbiology, aerobiology, allergen assays and microscopy designed to meet all your indoor air needs.
