About Ballz Pancake Balls

Ballz, are a deep-fried pancake ball. A Kickstarter campaign has started to
bring this frozen food product to grocery stores nationwide. Adam Schreifels, Ballz founder, stumbled across the idea for Ballz pancake balls when having
breakfast with a friend over 10 years ago. The restaurant they were at had a
pancake appetizer in the shape of a ball.
Mr. Schreifels recalls joking about bringing a product like that to the
MN State Fair, saying “We could call them Ballz, make cool names and put them
on a stick”. Fast forward ten years and
Ballz didn’t make it to the State Fair (yet), and they weren’t on a stick. But, Ballz did make it to A Taste of
Minnesota and some other outdoor events.
People loved them. Not only did food enthusiasts love the product, they
loved the name. Customer after customer
asked to have pictures taken with the signage and tee-shirts. Some offered to
buy the shirts right off the backs of the workers. One thing is for sure, Ballz create
excitement.
