The Miami Heat came into Boston with many fans thinking they could win over 70 games. Last nights performance was not convincing that they will reach that mark.
The Heat were held to 9 points in the first quarter and 30 points for the half. D Wade had a terrible night shooting with this being his first game playing with LeBron James and Chris Bosh since pre-season where he only logged three and a half minutes.
The big 3 shot 17 for 48 from the field with James leading the way with 31 points.
The real story here is the Celtics swarming defense. Holding the Heat to 9 points in the first quarter and 30 in the half put Miami on their heels for mot of the first 3 quarters. Shaq came to play clogging up the middle on defense while scoring 9 points and grabbing 5 boards in 18 minutes.
The Heat are in Philadelphia tonight against the 76ers and face Orlando on Friday. The Heat could start the season 1 and 2 with a loss against Orlando Friday and a win tonight over the new look 76ers coached by Doug Collins.
If the Heat lose tonight and again on Friday we may see Pat Riley come down like he did a few years back when Stan Van Gundy was on the Heat bench and take over coaching duties.
