NFL Week 8 Schedule Randy Moss returns to New England Jet
fans rooting for Vikings
The New York Jets who find themselves in a tie for first
with the New England Patriots will be rooting for the Minnesota Vikings this
week. The Jets who currently hold the tie breaker against Tom Brady and the New
England Patriots will be hoping ex-Jet Brett Favre will be healthy enough to
team up with former Patriot Randy Moss and come out with a victory in Foxboro.
Miami who comes into week 8 at 3 and 3 will be looking to go above .500 while the Bengals will be looking to get to 3 and 4. The Bengals are at home where they are 1 and 1 while on the road Cincinnati is a dismal 1 and 3.
Jacksonville at Dallas 1:00 PM Cowboys Stadium
The Dallas Cowboys who lost starting quarterback Tony Romo will be at home looking to take down the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) in search of their second victory. The Cowboys who were looking to be the first team to host the Superbowl on their own field will be lucky to make the playoffs. The Cowboys go into todays game in last place at 1-5.
Washington Redskins at the Detroit Lions 1:00 PM Ford Field
The Reskins are tied for second place in the NFC East behind
the New York Giants and even with the Eagles at 4-3. The Redskins will be at Ford
Stadium to play the Detroit Lions who are right where most of us expected at 1-5. With a Detroit win and
a Vikings loss the Lions would be tied with the Vikings in the win column with 2 wins going into week 9. No one picked that
prior to the NFL season.
The win-less Buffalo Bills travel to Kansas City game time 1:00 PM Arrowhead Stadium
The Buffalo Bills who are the only NFL team without a win go into Arrowhead Stadium at 0-6 looking to steal a victory against the first place Chiefs 4-2. Not much else to report on this one.
Carolina Panther at St. Louis Rams 1:00 PM Edward Jones Dome
The Panthers find themselves at the bottom of the NFC South with a 1 and 5 record while the Rams are looking to pull to .500 on the year and remain in the hunt for the NFC West first place finish. With Seattle at 4 and 2 a win today by the Rams and a loss by the Seahawks close the gap.
Green Bay Packers face the New York Jets 1:00 PM New Meadowlands Stadium
The New York Jets are coming off their bye week. The Jets
will be looking to take care of things at home against the Green Bay Packers
while hoping Ex Packer and Jet Brett Favre can be magical in Foxboro leading
the Vikings over the Pats. The Packers find themselves even in the win loss
column with the Chicago Bears who are both at 4-3.
Denver Broncos at San Francisco 1:00 PM CBS Wembley Stadium
This game doesn’t really matter much as the 49ers have been
blowing games this year finding them at 1-6. The Broncos who are at 2-5 could
get themselves into contention in the AFC West with a victory at sea level in
the Bay Area today. With a Broncos win and a Chiefs loss the Broncos will be 2
behind in the loss column, facing the Chiefs next week in Denver.
Tennessee travels west to face the Chargers. The Titans are in first place at 5-2 while the Chargers are in the basement sharing a room with the Broncos at 2-5
Tampa Bay Bucs at Arizona 4:15 PM FOX U of Phoenix Stadium
With a Tampa Bay Victory today and the Falcons with a bye week the Bucs could be tied for first after today. Arizaona could find themselves tied for first as well with a win and a Seahawks loss.
Minnesota Vikings face the New England Patriots
Brett Favre could be the starter today looking to lead the Vikings to victory with ex Patriot Randy Moss.
Seattle at Oakland 4:15 PM Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
The Seahawks may find themselves with their hands full against the silver and black Raiders who look to be for real this year. The Raiders are at 3-4 hosting Seattle who are in first place at 4-2.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Superbowl Champs New Orleans Saints 8:20 PM NBC Superdome
Will the Saints show up tonight to steal one from the Steelers led by Big Ben. The Saints if they are to have any chance at getting back to the big game will need to hold their own tonight against the AFC leading Pittsburgh Steelers who are on top at 5-1 tied with the New York Jets. A loss tonight for the Saints will drop them to 4 and 4 while a win and a Tampa Bay loss will move the Saints even in the win column with Atlanta at 5 and the loss column with the Bucs at 3, giving them much needed hope.
Houston at Indianapolis 8:30 PM Lucas Oil Stadium
The AFC South rivals face-off Monday Night in Indianapolis.
A victory by Peyton Manning coupled with a loss today by the Titans will launch
the Colts into first place at 5-2 while the Titans and Houston would drop both
drop 3 losses in the loss column. All three teams currently sit with 2 losses a
piece.
Bye: Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens
