Shane Mosley beats Antonio Margarito in upset, wins WBA title
Shane Mosley came out in the first round and took command over Antonio Margarito dominating the fighter from start to finish. The fight Saturday night was won by technical knockout at 43 seconds of the ninth round stunning the crowd causing Mosley to win the WBA welterweight title over Antonio Margarito stunning the boxing world.
Margarito in his last fight was over previously unbeaten Miguel Cotto six months ago, impressing boxing fans along with the experts. After the impressive fight over Cotto some experts labeled the 30-year-old Margarito one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the game.
Shane Mosley obviously didn’t read or listen to the reviews on Margarito or simply ignored them displaying total dominance.
Mosley who is now 37 years young showcased his speed and quickness from the first round until he was declared the winner by TKO. Unlike Mosley Margarito never came with the power he delivered against Cotto. What will the boxing experts say tomorrow now that Mosley has been crowned the Champ?
