Family Gathers for Funeral of Slain South Carolina Toddlers

Family and friends of two South Carolina toddlers who were murdered by their mother gathered Friday for a funeral service for the boys. The funeral service for Ja’van and Devean Duley, ages 1 and 2, was held at St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Orangeburg.

The boys were both dressed in white tuxedos. They held their favorite toy cars. The service was dubbed a “Home Going Celebration.”

Earlier this week the boys’ mother Shaquan Duley confessed to smothering them at the Trumps Inn motel in Orangeburg, then buckling them in their car seats and rolling her Chrysler sedan in to the Edisto River.
