A restaurant in China is employing a group of robot waiters.
The eatery - in the country's eastern Shandong province - is hoping the robots will prove China is on the global front line of technological development.
As diners enter the restaurant, they are met by a female robot equipped with batting eyelashes and a mechanical "welcome".
They will later encounter receptionists, waiters and even dancing entertainers.
In the future, the eatery is hoping the droids will become so lifelike that they will be able to serve customers at their tables and walk up and down the stairs.
