San Diego Florist Encourages San Diegans to Shop Small Business Saturday

Allen’s Flowers and Plants Plans Open House on November 28th at All San Diego Flower Shops

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. (November 20, 2015). Allen’s Flowers and Plants, a local San Diego florist with multiple locations and recipient of the Best San Diego Florist by the San Diego Union Tribune for five consecutive years, announced that it will participate in Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 28^th at all of their San Diego flower shop locations.

 Small Business Saturday was developed by American Express in 2010 as a way to encourage consumers to still shop at small local businesses to help stimulate economic recovery and provide a more cohesive community feel. In 2011, it became officially recognized by the U.S. Government as a nationwide special observance that would be celebrated in small towns and big cities. Each year, it has grown in size and included more businesses just like Allen’s Flowers and Plants that rely on customers in their local communities to remain successful.

The open houses at each of Allen’s Flowers and Plants locations will include a launch of its holiday collection of flower arrangements, Christmas decorations, and gifts as well as promotional pricing, demonstrations, and other special treats. Each location will be open during normal business hours on Small Business Saturday so San Diegans can shop for flowers, plants, and gifts as well as place their holiday orders.

Small Business Saturday is being celebrated throughout San Diego County with numerous communities throughout the area getting involved, including La Jolla, Downtown and the Gaslamp District, Pacific Beach, El Cajon and Mission Beach. Throughout the city, there are hundreds of small business owners that are participating this year with unique merchandise and personalized service.
