Our Coptic Language 1 course introduces students to the basics of reading Coptic (Sahidic dialect). No prior knowledge of the ancient Egyptian language or Greek is required. We study Coptic grammar, morphology, syntax, and hundreds of vocabulary words in this course alone. After this course our Orthodox students should be able to read passages in the New Testament. Anyone seeking to enroll in our Coptic Studies or Masters’ Degree Programs must take this class.
Our Certificate of Orthodox Theological Studies and Masters’ of Divinity Degree are some of the best theological programs. Students earn a Certificate of Orthodox Theological Students to gain an introductory base of knowledge on religious and theological studies. This program is perfect for lay persons and scholars, but can also be taken as a route to our Masters’ of Divinity Degree. The Orthodox Master’s Degree is a graduate professional degree chiefly (but not exclusively) designed to prepare qualified Orthodox students for ordination to the priestly ministry in the Orthodox Church.
