When God touches your heart to join the priestly ministry of the Church, apply for your Orthodox Masters of Divinity at the St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School. Our theological school aspires to be the premier center of Orthodox Christian scholarship, pastoral education, Orthodox ministry and mission throughout the world through the Grace of God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the blessing of the saints. We provide our students with a sound Orthodox Education that prepares them to be Christian Leaders in their community.
Our Masters of Divinity is a three-year graduate professional degree. It is, chiefly but not exclusively, designed to prepare qualified Orthodox students for ordination to the priestly ministry in the Orthodox Church. It also prepares servants to serve in other forms of church service such as Sunday School, Youth Ministry, Mission and Evangelism, and Hospital Chaplaincy.
Students can take classes online, but also at our Claremont, California campus; which is located just outside of Los Angeles.
To apply to our Masters of Divinity Program students must supply 3 letters of recommendation. One from their confession father, one from their parish priest, and one at the academic level. Student must also submit their final undergraduate transcripts, a Personal Statement, and a non-refundable $50 application fee. Before entering our Masters’ program, each student will be interviewed after their application material are reviewed.
