Dream Analyst David Rivinus Will Be Interviewed On Syndicated Radio

Los Angeles-based syndicated radio host, Linda Mackenzie, will interview dream Analyst, David Rivinus, on Tuesday, October 13 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time. The show can be listened to at www.healthylife.net radio. The subject will be dreams and the role they play in our lives.

Mackenzie’s show airs simultaneously in 130 countries on over 62 syndicated/simulcast distribution channels. Topics tend to focus on ways to live more healthfully, not only through diet and constructive physical activities, but through positive ways of thinking and viewing life. Meditation, yoga and metaphysics in general are a big part of the overall lifestyle formula, and the topic of the illusive—sometimes perplexing—nature of dreams fits well into that scenario.

The program will last approximately half an hour and will cover such topics as how dreams offer clues to changes that need to be made in our waking lives, how to go about understanding the metaphoric messages of dreams and how to look past their literal imagery.

“Dreams speak in their own unique language,” explains Rivinus. “It’s the language of the symbol which is, actually, the language of metaphor.” Much of what Rivinus teaches is how to find the metaphoric message that is unique to every dreamer. “You can have the same symbol in the dreams of multiple individuals,” he says, “but in each dream that symbol will mean something completely different.” According to him, it is vital that each dreamer figure out his or her own metaphors.

Rivinus also takes his work with dreams a step further. He believes that the unusual and upsetting events that occur from time to time in our waking lives are also dreams. “The bottom line is that, if you have an experience during the day that stays with you in an unsettling way, that’s an important dream to look at.” He breaks down these disturbing daytime events into three categories: an event that is shocking, one that is bizarre, or one that repeats more than twice.
