The virtuosic, New York based quintet, The Punch Brothers are celebrating the coming of 2013 in their hometown with special guests for three nights at the historic Bowery Ballroom. Critically lauded and closely followed by fans, The Punch Brothers have become forerunners in the modern string-band scene.
With bombastic live performances that bring stunning originals together with re-imagined, unpredictable covers of bands like Radiohead and The Cars, they have taken progressive bluegrass to the new heights that only visionaries as prolific as mandolinist and band leader Chris Thile can.
Jeffrey Lewis, Aoife O’Donovan, and Michael Daves will open the 29th, 30th, and 31st, respectively. More information can be found at The Bowery Presents:.
