Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential candidate, will give his anticipated speech in Berlin, Germany on Thursday.
Attendance for the speech is expected to range from a low 100,000 people to over 1 million as Obama has become somewhat of a cult figure in Germany.
Obama, who has been traveling across Asia and Europe over the past weeks, will give his speech at the Victory Column at Tiergaten Park in Berlin. The speech will take place at 6 p.m. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).
The Victory Column is one of the Berlin's most-treasured monuments as it was built to commemorate Prussian victories over Denmark, Austria and France.
Former presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton have also made important speeches in Berlin. The city was also site for President John F. Kennedy's famed speech in 1963 in which he famously said "Ich bin ein Berliner" which translates to "I am a Berliner."
Reagan and Kennedy's speeches were given at the Brandenberg Gate, which Obama originally expressed interested in speaking. However, German chancellor Angela Merkel objected, moving the site to the Victory Column.
In a recent poll in Berlin, 74% of people said they would vote for Obama for president if they were allowed to cast a ballot in the U.S. election, according to CTV.ca.
Obama was met by Merkel when he arrived in Berlin on Thursday to begin the European leg of his travels. His world trek has already taken him to Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel and the Palestinian territories. Once he leaves Germany, Obama will travel to France and the U.K.
