Paul Volcker, Former Federal Reserve Chair, Named Adviser to President-Elect Barack Obama
Paul Volcker, former Federal Reserve chairman, has been named to President-elect Barack Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
Volcker, 81, was the Federal Reserve chairman under presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan and is a respected vice in economic issues.
Obama has pledged to address the growing problems with the economy and institute measures that would ease the slowdown.
Volcker was an adviser to Obama during his presidential campaign.
