The College Football Playoff Teams Is Close to Being Final With The Release of New Poll
The final college football playoff poll is days away as it will be released on Sunday December 7th. The most recent polls were released on Tuesday and the ranking of the teams was a bit surprising. The only undefeated team in Florida State continued to slide. The Seminoles slipped down to number four, and TCU made the jump over them to the three spot. Rounding out the top two was Oregon(#2) and Alabama (#1).
A lot can change for these teams due to the fact they still have one week of football left. Florida State will square off against Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship. TCU battles Iowa State. Oregon will play on Friday night against Arizona for the Pac 12 title. Finally Alabama will have to face Missouri for the SEC Championship.
What will be interesting is if any of those teams should slip up. The only team that is more than likely safe will be Alabama. If Florida State is trumped by Georgia Tech that will pose the question of who will take over the final number four spot? According to the rankings it would be Ohio State. However, with the loss of J.T. Barrett at quarterback, that may require the committee to put in another team. Arizona will have a lot to gain should they beat Oregon. Arizona has already defeated the Ducks once this year and a second win when it matters the most will surely put them in control of their own destiny.
