In the first fight Tyson Griffin defeated Thiago Tavares in a unanimous decision as the judges scored the fight 29-28, 30-27, 29-28.
The second fight saw “Lyoto” Ryoto Machida defeat Kazuhiro Nakamura by unanimous decision 30-27, 30-27, 30-27. “Lyoto” was dominant in the contest as he dropped Nakamura with a mixture of body kicks and straight punches.
Jon Fitch captured the victory in the third PPV fight as he won a split decision 30-27, 29-28, 28-29 over Diego Sanchez. This fight was marked by plenty of booing from the crowd as the action was slow but Fitch landed the more meaningful blows.
In the fourth PPV event Forrest Griffin beat Mauricio “Shogun” Rua with a rear naked choke to earn the victory through submission at 4:45 of the third round. This was the upset of the night as Shogun tired midway through the second round and
To wrap up the night Keith Jardine won a split decision over Chuck Liddell 29-28, 29-28, 28-29. Jardine used solid leg kicks throughout the first two and a half rounds to wear down Liddell and then landed several punches in the final round to earn the upset win.
